Today marks my 250th consecutive blog post.
Two hundred and fifty days in a row of blathering from yours truly. Seems kinda’ significant, right? So, it being my 250th post and all, I thought I’d have some fun and see what happens when one simply “Googles” two hundred and fifty…
One of the first things that appears is a Roman Numerals Chart – today’s post title, CCL, is 250 in Roman numerals:
I am familiar with Roman numerals, having taken three and a half years of Latin in high school. The next few entries were kinda’ interesting, though, things like “How to Write a Check for $250.00” – click image below for details:
Next up was an actual entry on Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia, which informed me that not only was“…250 (two hundred [and] fifty) the natural number following 249 and preceding 251, ” – fascinating! – it is also ” a Mandarin slang term, 250 (二百五 pinyin èrbǎiwǔ), an insult meaning “stupid person” or “simpleton”. Who knew, right? For other fascinating 250 number-y facts, click the image below:
Growing weary of scholarly “250” things, I Goggle-image’d “250 ?” – here are a few of the images that I appeared…
A 250 gallon propane tank (my grandparents had one of these in Tennessee):
A 250 count bag of Bubble Gumballs Machine Gum Balls, the Fruit Flavoured Sweets Candy:
And finally, this image of five rolls of pennies – 250 cents, am I right?
I hope you all enjoy reading my blog as much as I love writing it. I know it can be all over the place – politics, design, LGBT topics, art, relationships, all of it – but I truly do love sharing with you all. Plus, to be really honest, when I committed to this “365 Project” – posting an entry every day for a year – I worried I wouldn’t finish.
Seeing the “250” appear today was satisfying for sure.
