Oh, I know – come Summer, I’ll be complaining about the heat. OK, sure, I will… But for now, a few days in a row of sunlight with temps above 50 degrees seems almost unattainable. Sigh…
I’m not sure why, but this poem – memorized in whatever fifth grade class – sticks in my head today (and I am no poetry fan). Plus, is it just me or is it a bit ironic this author’s last name is FROST?
Fire and Ice by Robert Frost
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those that favor fire.
But if I had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
