Happy First Day of Spring!

As a way to acknowledge that today is the first day of Spring, I thought I would write a post about my love of spring flowers, particularly tulips. As I searched the internet for tulip images, I happened across these amazing aerial photos of commercial tulip fields in The Netherlands. These images made me gasp, they are so beautiful. The photos are the work of French photographer Norman Szkop, who took these images of tulip fields in bloom around Anna Paulowna, a little town in northern Holland, while riding in a small plane. These look like brilliant, contemporary canvases to me – to view even more images from this project, click any picture below. To Norman Szkop,  I say “THANKS” for these breathtaking photos.
